A Chance for Stefan Bogdan Craiu

    I am a desperate mother asking for help.
    I’m fighting for my only 9 years old child’s life Bogdan Stefan to get him out of bed.
    He is a good, patient and intelligent child aware of his state. He is powerless but he knows that the good God loves him and will not let him down.
    Stefan can’t eat alone, can’t walk alone and can’t even sit without being sustained. Stefan needs permanent care and supervision. I am his personal assistant, City Hall paying me the minimum wage for this effort.
    And as we weren’t suffering enough, in March 2003 my son Stefan, lose father’s help and love who pass away due a metastasis pulmonary cancer. From a normal healthy state at 4 months age, due to a vaccine he gets into coma with convulsions. Getting out of coma, he remains in a bad state with a severe handicap for life. The diagnosis is: infantile cerebral paralysis postnatal damage; spastic tetra paresis, severe form, with extrapyramidal elements, severe retarded motor. The MR scans from Constanta and Cluj-Napoca are available to public.
    Stefan has been seen by countrywide doctors and nobody gave us any hope. His only chance is an OEG cells transplant in a Beijing clinic. The doctor who studied the MR scan results and other tests results gave me a hope. We lost already a scheduled appointment for April 23rd, 2007 due to the lack of funds for transplant - $23,000.00 plus the transport and stay expenses. The appointment has been rescheduled on August 15th, 2008 with the possibility to reschedule it at an earlier date once we have the sufficient funds available. Until now we raise RON 34,586.00, EUR 110.00 and USD 159.00 overall that means USD 14.500.
    From the bottom of our hearts we kindly ask you to help us as little as you can. It would be a considerable step ahead in our struggle against the illness, where Stefan’s life is hanging by those $23,000.00 + transport and stay expenses, a huge number for us impossible to reach it without people’s help and understanding.
